Trunnion

When OEM factories use CNC machines for aluminum cutting, they want to have a compact trunnion to increase the number of axial and achieve high-efficient & multi-face machining of parts.

Challenge: For saving space on CNC limited bench as much as possible, trunnion must be compact, high positioning accuracy, but low price.  Additionally, it’s best to exist a big bore for power and communication cables to pass through.

Solution: A hollow strain wave gearbox with single stage ratio of 160 is able to easily assembly a compact trunnion.  Repeatability of the gearbox is less ± 3 ArcSec.
